William LabourierA groundbreaking development encompassing four individual restaurants and eateries, the Walker Street food and dining precinct ultimately sets a bold new agenda for hospitality in North Sydney.
Each restaurant and eatery is uniquely designed to offer diverse culinary experiences, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. This vibrant gastronomic hub – informing Aqualand’s elevated residential development AURA – proves a central gathering place for both residents and visitors, fostering community engagement and supporting the ascendent growth of the area.
The four eateries within Aura / Walker Street precinct include:
Soluna – an accessible and casual diner of warmth and space and which is driven by a mid-century design narrative with unique materiality that includes a unique cork floor and striking terrazzo bar and pass as well as a highlight mural by Australian artist Kristian Hawker.
Sol Bread + Wine – a buzzy cafe for residents and the wider community that opens as to all-day offer referencing the tapas bars of Spain. Boasting an on-site bakery that means morning coffees, pastries and breads through to an evening offer of small plates and accompanying wines.
Una Providore – an elegant and luxurious purveyor of fine food – both house-made and sourced gourmet artisanal produce. The concept presents a heady air of unique sophistication and a sense of simplicity that allows the produce to be the hero.
Genzo – a contemporary and edgy Japanese restaurant – operating clean menus against some striking use of colour and which draws inspiration from Tokyo Street culture and elements of more traditional Japanese architecture via the mixed use of materials including granite, Hinoki timber and metal finishes.
The results here further showcase H&E’s firm ownership of the Sydney hospitality sector and what is the practice’s acute understanding of layered, functional and alluring design.
