This is the beating heart of Sydney’s contemporary harbourside precinct – a distinct property that elevates and redefines Australian F&B design.

The striking Barangaroo House proves a unique offer amongst what is a rapidly reshaped area, indeed, Australia’s biggest ever urban renewal project – a precinct that continues to form its identity across a growing residential community, tourism and elevated silos of business and finance.

Delivered in collaboration with leading design outfit Etic, Barangaroo House holds a trio of individual and distinct food offers across three levels. From acclaimed Australian chef and restaurateur Matt Moran, it’s an outing in casual (House Bar), Japanese jazz ‘kissaten’ (Rekoko) and an unsurpassable rooftop cocktail and champagne experience (Smoke). While each holds individual appeal, there is also an aligned narrative that links the venues – notably a darkened timber staircase that opens to each offer and what are the differing approaches, and outlooks, presented on each level.

The design required integration within structural design and existing base building architecture – in collaboration with Collins & Turner – as well as working with multiple consent authorities across approval processes to achieve an on time and on budget outcome.
