Anson SmartH&E completely oversaw this well-known hospitality project – the architecture, interior design, and styling of the acclaimed Sydney eatery led by chef Matt Moran.
A former cottage and stables, this was a build in as much as it was the management and navigation of approvals processes, DAs and considerable community consultation – all undertaken by H&E.
Replete with its own kitchen garden – Chiswick boasts a flexible, functional layout for up to 180 diners that melts into its leafy surrounds. It was also responsible for driving the popularity of share-plate dining, open kitchens and large-scale communal tables in Australia.
Accomplished from the outset, the property remains a Sydney institution that also spawned Chiswick at the Gallery (also executed by H&E), located at the Art Gallery of NSW.
