H&E was eagerly sought out for this project – given our understanding of, and market-leading approach to, the progression of heritage-listed buildings.

Despite council restrictions, H&E took an innovative approach to maximise the space and create a development that seamlessly blends with its surrounds.

Given that much of the existing façade needed to be preserved, the redesign focused on the maintenance of the street’s rhythm, that is, the string of terrace housing that occupies much of the immediate vicinity.

A standout on the strip opposite Victoria Barracks, a shadow line was dropped on the face of the building to help both break down the scale of the development and further accent the design. The project has been a commercial success with the building fully tenanted since landing on the market after completion.
